Window tinting typically refers to a process in which a transparent sheet of film is applied to the inside of a vehicle's windows. The main purpose of this process is to reduce the amount of heat and radiation from the sun that reaches the interior of the vehicle. Our automotive films make miles under the Arizona sun calmer, cooler, happier and much more stylish with Madico window films.
If you're looking for ways to keep your interior protected from sun damage, consider installing window film. This type of film is designed to block out harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays while allowing visible light through.
Protection from sunlight is a must since UV rays can be harmful. You’re vulnerable to them even when you’re inside your vehicle. Research shows that UV light penetrates windows that aren’t tinted, suggesting that passengers in cars with clear glass windows are exposed to harmful radiation.
Installing car window tints is not just an aesthetic whimsy but a need — especially in Arizona. Constant exposure to UV rays causes more than just sunburn; it could put a person at a higher risk of developing skin cancer. As a matter of fact, both the American Association of Dermatology as well as the Skin Cancer Foundation recommend car tinting service as an effective defense against harmful sun rays.
Applying sunscreen before going out for a ride is not enough to protect you and your loved ones from UV exposure. When driving out in the arid landscapes of Arizona, you’ll need a more effective method of blocking radiation from your window.

Window tint comes in a range of shades, from clear to completely blacked out. We’re bound by the legal limits of tinting as to how dark your window tint can be, but within the limits there is still a large range of choices. Fortunately, many of the benefits of window tinting, including protection from harmful UV rays, are not dependent on your windows being ultra-dark.
When choosing your tint material, percentage, shade, and color, you need to consider your style preferences and comfort or privacy needs. Do you want to enhance the look of your car or keep your cabin cool? Determining what is most important to you will better guide your decision-making process.

When it comes to window tinting, there are a variety of factors which affect the price. Below we outline these different factors and explain why they can increase (or decrease) the cost of your window tint.
Vehicle type. Simply put, vehicles with fewer windows require less material—which means a lower price. Similarly, those vehicles with ‘easier’ windows will take less time and effort to install, which means less cost.
Unique vehicles. Some vehicles have unique aspects which increase the price of tint. A Tesla Model 3, for example, has a massive glass roof which adds a lot of time and material to the installation. Older vehicles can be more complex because there are no templates for them for a tint plotter and the tint for their windows must be hand-cut to size. That said, most shops won’t charge more; you will just have a longer appointment time.
Installer experience. Installing window tint is an absolute art. If you don’t believe us, we challenge you to try and clean the inside of your back window. You’ll see what we mean. Now imagine doing that, but with a massive piece of tint that can’t touch anything, otherwise it will get contaminated. Well, you get the point.
Brand of tint. You pay for what you get. The brand of window tint will absolutely affect the price. For example, we use Madico window tint. Madico has the industry’s best warranty and ranks highest in terms of looks, durability, and performance. These quality window films can only be installed by certified tint shops. This certification is mandated by the manufacturer so they can ensure their tint always outperforms their competition.
A car is commonly going to fall into 2 pricing categories: coupes and sedans. Strictly speaking, this will be based mostly on the number of windows your vehicle has: a coupe having the front 2 windows and 2 smaller rear windows. A sedan has the front two with larger rear two windows as well as some smaller quarter panels. If you own a station wagon or similar, those are commonly looped in with SUVs based on complexity and number of windows.
When it comes to trucks, the main factor that will affect prices will be the number of windows. So crew cabs tend to take a little longer (and a little more material) than a standard cab truck. Which means cost will be increased. Also to note: if your sunroof isn’t technically a panoramic, but Below are some various price ranges for truck tint.
When it comes to vans, the main factor that will affect price will be number of windows. Often, pricing that you will find online will be based on a ‘base’ minivan style vehicle. If your vehicle is more of a cargo van, transport van, or conversion van, you could end up paying more (or less) for your installation. Be sure to contact a tint shop near you for more exact pricing.
When it comes to tinting a Tesla, there are a variety of different prices based on the vehicle type. First off, a Tesla should only be tinted using higher non-metalized window tint. This is because metalized window tints can affect the electronics within the vehicle. This put your cost at the higher end of window tint technology.
If you are considering tinting the windows of your car, it's important to learn about the tint laws in your state. In Arizona, there are a few things you need to know before you tint your windows. First, the tint can't be more than 30% reflective. Second, the windshield can't be tinted at all. Third, there can't be any tint on the driver's side window. Finally, there must be a label on the tint film that shows the percentage of tint and the contact information for the manufacturer. If you follow all of these guidelines, you should be able to tint your windows without any problems. For more information on tint laws in Arizona, be sure to check out our blog post.
